To Thine Own Self Be True

Teenage girl praying outdoors at twilight. Shallow DOF.Did you ever make a decision that seemed to be questioned by everyone you know? I know I have, and in their skepticism, sometimes I find myself doubting ME, the truth of who I am.

It’s not easy to face criticism from family and friends, but sometimes the best things in life come from adversity, from not knowing that everything would be okay, but diving in anyway. I just finished listening to Christine Kloser’s Transformational Author series, which featured our own Modern Day Goddess Linda Joy. Both of these women provide powerful and inspirational examples of what can happen when we lose everything but an inner knowing that we were meant to serve, meant to live our truth.

Christine hit rock bottom like few of us have ever experienced. Told her business idea to create a Transformational Author experience three years ago would never work, she followed her dream anyway. It took an incredible amount of Inner Strength to get through the dissolution of her old business and losing her home, but when she emerged on the other side, she was Transformed. Now she’s changed the lives of thousands of transformational authors and works with big name authors and big name publishers. And they said it couldn’t be done? Think again.

Linda’s story is striking as well. Touted as “SuperWoman” for her ability to transform herself from welfare mom to CEO and Charity Queen, she realized that in the midst of her transformation, she had lost touch with Herself. So she gave it all away: the wealthy husband, the business, the success to pursue her dream to launch an inspirational magazine for women. That magazine, Aspire, is now the top inspirational women’s magazine in the U.S. Linda went from affecting the lives of several dozen welfare moms to transforming the lives of over 30,000 women. And her readership grows with every issue.

So what do you do when everyone thinks you’re crazy to do _____ [fill in your Dream]? You get in touch with that Inner Strength, and Inner Knowing. You Trust that everything will work out in the end. Even if it means you may have to let go and be willing to lose everything. Sometimes that’s what it takes to realize your Magnificence. And if you need a little help, Call on Rhiannon. She’s been through this, and She’s got your back. And leave a comment below. This community is filled with Courageous women just like you, who’ve fought the critics (within and without) and came out on top, just like they Knew they would.
